07 · Skins

28 shells. Zero screwdrivers.

Every skin restyles the on-screen controller and the handheld frame around the game: colours, button faces, stripes, even a neon glow. Cover it in stickers, then share the skin as a single file so a friend gets the exact same look.

09 · FAQ

Questions, answered.

It ships with 18 built-in games and simulations, the free Freedoom episode for the Doom engine, and a Store full of free, legal homebrew. Commercial ROMs are not included: bring the cartridges you own, dumped to files.

Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, NES, SNES, Genesis / Mega Drive, Master System, Game Gear, Atari 2600 and 7800, plus Doom WADs, all with cores bundled in the app. Nintendo 64, Nintendo DS, Virtual Boy and PC Engine are supported too.

No. Your library, saves, stats and creations live on your device. The network is only used when you ask for it: fetching box art, browsing the Store, or looking up cheats.

Yes. Backup zips your library, settings, stats, battery saves, save states, cheats, covers, sound projects, stickers and every game stored in the app. Restore it anywhere.

Yes. Remap any keyboard key or gamepad button, swap A/B for a Nintendo-style layout, and set hotkeys (or Select + button combos on a gamepad) to save, load, fast forward, snap or record a GIF. On touch screens you can drag, resize and fade every on-screen button, separately for portrait and landscape.

Import files, add a folder that Nostalgia keeps watching, download from the Store, or just open a ROM from your file manager or share sheet with Nostalgia. Box art and game info are filled in automatically.

Switch the interface style to Modern in Settings for a clean system font, rounded corners and soft shadows. Accent colour, 28 controller skins and the startup screen (look, chime, background and tagline) are all yours to change too.
